35 years in banking for two high street banks of which 28 were as a Relationship Manger/Director to businesses throughout Lancashire. One of my clients was Linkability.
I cared for my disabled father for 3.5 years whilst having teenage children of my own and have 2 adopted nieces who have various impairments due to their birth mother taking drugs and drink whilst pregnant.
I was asked by the Chief Executive to join the Board of Linkability when I changed employment in 2010 and was no longer Linkability’s Relationship Manager.
I have been involved with Linkability for over 20 years in one form or another so have a good all-round understanding of both the Charity and the sector.
I was asked by the other trustees to be Chair when the previous one stood down, so they presumably feel I offer something. I am only interested in the best for the people we support and how do we achieve that. I am also a trustee for 2 other charities. As with all trustees I bring my time and commitment voluntarily and for no recompense.
